Make Out "True Love is Hard to Find"

Short Version: Straight sugar from the ole Rock Candy Mountain.

Long Version: One of my favorite bands of all time is Junior Senior. That band consists of two Danes: one big and gay, the other tiny and straight. It was a bit of a novelty on first glance, but the music quickly made up for that prejudice.  I had the pleasure of seeing them in concert a few times and even hanging out with them. Super nice fellas. In fact I haven't had the unfortunate experience of meeting a Dane I didn't like.  Everyone in Denmark is entitled to a free education and they put on one of the best music festivals in the world which I have had the pleasure of attending twice: Roskilde.  JRSR only released two albums, with the last one coming out in 2005. Both were pure pop classics in my opinion. Not Lady Gaga pop, but songs that instantly make one want to get up and dance. Included are easy to find hooks, and an overall haze of happiness. So in doing an update to see what these two gentlemen were up to, I found that Jesper was in a new band out of New York called Make Out. So I did a quick listen and immediately, I recognized that JRSR influence. And oh it is so, SO good.  Leah Hennessey, their lead singer is the step daughter of New York Dolls lead man David Johansen. That is a formidable role model for a future lead singer. The band current is selling an EP via their website or itunes.  Their other song "Come on Over Tonight" is on par with this one.  So enjoy the cavities you will get from this sugar, but oh my, my will it be worth it.  If you are interested in some JRSR selections I would suggest: "UR A Girl" and "Shake Your Coconuts."    Make Out's website is: makeoutwiththeinternet.com
