Earl Sweatshirt "Earl"

Short Version: The F-ed Up future of hip hop.

Long Version:  So here it is. A rough video to go along with a rough song.  Sick; in both images and freshness of the beat.  You cannot deny that this rhyme flow and beat are tight and different than any hip hop you will hear on commercial radio.  The first sentence of this song assures itself that I will never be able to play it on my radio show unless I go back to Safe Harbor hours.  So welcome to the burgeoning phenomenon of OFWGKTA.  This skating collective out of LA are catching wildfire.  They are booked for Coachella and made their network debut on Jimmy Fallon this week.  It was a truly original performance that was furious and unsettling as well.  Where has all the hype come from?  Their website and promotions on the web.  They give most of their work away for free.
Earl Sweatshirt was 16 when he released this video and song.  He was recommended as being something disturbing, but with a trainwreck's flair.  I love the flow and beat throughout.  Currently Earl is on hiatus from OFWGKTA.  Why?  His mama has banned him from hanging with his crew until he is 18.  There are 'Free Earl' shirts in circulation.  So in the meantime, enjoy his foray into a hazed out afternoon.  Love, Bobby Corduroy.
