Long Version: So I am now officially a non-official resident of DC. There are shows galore here. My first live performance as an O.N.O. res was Art Brut at the famous Black Cat on 14th Street. My man and I showed up after the first act and the place only had about 150 in the venue. Not many folks at all, but it gave everyone some welcomed elbow room. Plus everyone in attendance wanted to be there, and the energy throughout the show was not at all disappointing. I enjoyed the venue and Art Brut lead singer Eddie Argos claimed that this was one of the top five bars in the world in his international opinion. I had a few must hear songs and they played all of them. Top of my list was "Good Weekend." It is fun, cheery, and exuding the joy of falling in love/lust with a new lover. Formed in 2003, Art Brut is a German/English collective that has recently released a new album. This song comes from an earlier release: "Bang Bang Rock and Roll." Good for the soundtrack to your walk of not shame, but FAME!!!
