Bad Brains "Banned in DC"

Short Version:  Anthem for my new home in DC.  It gets a little loud.

Long Version:  So I made the jump from the Bluegrass to DC this past weekend.  It is a welcomed change and so far I am enjoying it immensely.  The concert scene here has a couple good shows playing every week.  Glasvegas played here a few weeks ago when I was visiting.  They were playing at the Black Cat which is only a few steps away from where I was staying.  I shrugged it off.  However if Glasvegas would have come to Lexington, I would have cleared my calendar and made it a point to be there.  With so many things to do here one must be selective of shows.  I called one of my good friends up here who used to play in a DC band and asked him for the quintessential DC anthem.  He said this song was it.  I posted a live version performed at the historic CBGBs in New York City so you can experience their live energy as well.   The widely regarded pioneers of hardcore punk call themselves Bad Brains and they formed in DC in 1977.   This song was born from them actually being banned from clubs in DC.  Aside from the occasional travels we will be back up and running each and every Sunday.  Blog announcement coming soon!!
