Short Version: My favorite dance song of all time.
Long Version: The first description I ever found on this song was back in 2005. To sum it up, the author stated that when this came on in the club they were in in NYC that everyone went bonkers. Most notably a chubby kid with sunglasses on and a backpack. He didn't move all night really except for this song, and when it was over he left. Wow, I better check this out to see what the excitement is all about. And oh was that kid spot on. This song is dance perfect. I am not a dancer, but when this comes on I get up. In the beginning there is an argument that just breaks out during the song. LOVE IT! Then the end is your typical techno build, but it is just furious with a sick bass line. The group Soulwax are actually Belgians. They do live shows where they play their techno with live instruments. This is their Nite Versions element. Now I want to make a disclaimer that I don't actually approve of this video that I have posted below. It is fun and interesting, but in my opinion it does not do the song justice. If you want to listen to it the way I intend you do then please do the following. Turn up your speakers loud, hopefully with some bass attached, close your eyes, and picture yourself in a dark packed club in NYC. Pretend that everyone there, 'gets' this song and you are all on the same page. Then you will grip the true experience of listening to "NY Excuse." Their other video for the song "E-talking" got banned. So if you want to check that out as well, feel free. It is snowing here as I type this. "NY Excuse" works perfect as a way to keep you warm during these cold days.

Love the song. It is definitely a dance tune.
